CONTIPARK supports „Kino unter Sternen“

Every summer, Vienna’s Karlsplatz becomes a Mecca for cineastes. For three weeks, the open-air cinema festival “Kino unter Sternen” attracts numerous visitors to the center of the Austrian capital. CONTIPARK supports the festival as operator of the Karlsplatzgarage directly at the event location. The provision of parking spaces for the organization team simplifies processes and saves costs for the organizers.

Already since June 29th, one film daily flickers across the screen. Mostly Austrian films are shown, but also productions from all over the world. Each issue of the festival is dedicated to different main topics. This year’s cinema summer this will be represented by the film series “FREMD” and “WONDERAMA” as well as by so-called ephemeral films. Before the screenings, which always start at 9:30 pm, there will be a pre-program starting at 8:30 pm. Admission to all events is free.

The “Kino unter Sternen” format has existed since 1996 and is organized by After Image Productions – Verein zur Förderung von Freiluftkinos und Kulturveranstaltungen. Until 2008 the screenings took place in the Baroque Park Augarten, since 2009 Karlsplatz has become the stage for national and international films every year.

“Kino unter Sternen” will run until July 21st.
