Contipark opens “Am Donaukai” multi-storey car park in Vienna

The “Am Donaukai” multi-storey car park in the shadow of the “Millennium Tower” at Donaueschingenstraße 27 now offers 244 parking spaces on two levels. Contipark expects an average of 30,000 short-term parkers per year. Over 300,000 euros have been invested in state-of-the-art parking technology since November 2022, which ensures a largely smooth process. The car park will relieve the parking situation thanks to its good location near the Danube Island, its strong northern catchment area and its proximity to Millennium City with its event and restaurant area.

The entire complex was initially only planned as a residential complex with a car park. “However, as we had already successfully managed the site as a car park from spring 2017 to summer 2019 as ‘Parkplatz am Handelskai’ before construction began, we were invited to submit an offer for a long-term lease. This was done and we were given the trust,” says Andreas Knops, Member of the Management Board and Head of Property Management at Contipark.

Contipark has now leased the car park facilities for at least ten years. “Long-term contracts are part of our corporate strategy, because we are committed to the long term. This is the only way we can offer our customers a stable price structure and continuous service in the long term,” says Michael Kesseler, Managing Director of Contipark. For example, the favourable P Card will be introduced at Donaukai. With Contipark’s own payment and access card, the company ensures the very favourable daily price of four euros in the “Am Donaukai” multi-storey car park. “Last but not least, Contipark is thus contributing to the attractiveness of the location, as there are hardly any parking spaces in the surrounding area at really good conditions,” says Dr Roland Kickinger, Head of Contract Management at Contipark International Austria GmbH.
